My name is Janice Phillips. I grew up "all over" Texas. I married a home-town boy, Allen Phillips. We have three lovely grown children - Kali, Krista, and Logan. We also have four precious grandchildren.
I graduated from Tarleton State University with a degree in Education and a specialization in Reading and Early Childhood. I began teaching in the fall of 1998. Cross Plains hired me as the first Pre-K teacher. I taught Pre-k for two years. Then I moved up to Kindergarten and have been teaching Kindergarten ever since! I'm blessed every year by seeing little people develop into bigger people and by being a part of the growth process that these children make.
This may be the most important year of your child's school life. Attitudes are shaped that affect learning. One of my most important jobs as your child's teacher is to help your child learn to love coming to school. Kindergarten continues the learning process you began with your child.
I look forward to getting to know you and your child this year! Together we will work as a team to help your child be successful in school and a leader in our community.
Conferences can be scheduled Monday - Friday between 8:45 and 9:30 A.M. or after school 4:00 P.M. (prior notice)
