Position Summary
The Educational Aide will support teachers and students in classroom, individual, and small-group settings. The position may include assisting with instructional activities and implementing students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Texas educational aide certificate or willingness and eligibility to obtain one
- Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, staff, and families
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain student confidentiality
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide instructional support to students individually and in small groups.
- Assist teachers with classroom activities, materials, and student supervision.
- Support the implementation of students’ IEPs, accommodations, and instructional goals.
- Monitor student progress and communicate relevant information to the supervising teacher.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and other district staff.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow all district policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties assigned by campus administration.
